Diaspora Gone Global LLC safely launched September of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic on a beautiful yacht in New York City waters with a small group of twenty incredible individuals! Our CEO, Valentina Alexandre, a pan-africanist at heart has been traveling the world for twenty-one years-since the age of ten when she immigrated from Haiti to the United States. She has traveled to fifteen countries since, and has lived in six: Haiti, United States, Canada, Ghana, Palestine, and Mexico.
Diaspora Gone Global LLC. was born out of her first and only study abroad experience to Accra, Ghana in 2010 through her undergraduate program at NYU. She lived in and explored most of Ghana for five months and then returned again for two months the following year. The awareness, authentic connections, friendships, adventures, and deep understandings that she gained in that time expanded her perspective immensely and has since never left her! She knew then that she would spend the rest of her life as a global citizen traveling the world, while also creating experiences and opportunities similar to her own for people who looked like her. At Diaspora Gone Global LLC. we believe that authentic travel is an essential human experience that should be prioritized from a young age and should be accessible to all no matter your financial background.
DGG curates authentic and affordable group travel experiences for millennials of the African Diaspora that aim to awaken all the senses in order to create a vivid and unforgettable experience. We bridge the gap between local living and tourism by intentionally including home/community interactions, cultural immersion opportunities, and risk-taking adventures! We also find ways to make travel affordable for our tribe through donations, and scholarship because we believe travel is not only essential for our mental health, and identity development, but it is necessary to create greater empathy between nations.

When we all finally internalize and understand that we are all here having a human experience and it can look differently without the need to judge or undermine the way of life of others then we will have created true freedom within ourselves.
